Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Jinko Apps when you use our products.
Last updated: October 4, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the products made by Jinko Apps Inc. (“Jinko Apps”, “we”, “us”), including JinkoUp and the Jinko parental-controls app (together, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Services.
1. Who can use the Services
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. For the Jinko app, you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose device you set up, and that you have the legal right to monitor that device.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Services to break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- use the Jinko app to monitor any person or device without the legal right to do so - it is for a parent/guardian monitoring their own minor child, not for covert surveillance of other adults;
- attempt to disable the visible notice or icon the Jinko app shows on a monitored device, or otherwise use the Services to deceive the person using the device;
- interfere with, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services;
- upload malware or use the Services to harass or harm others.
3. About the Jinko parental app specifically
- The Jinko app is a safety tool, not a guarantee. No monitoring product detects every risk, and it is not a substitute for a parent's involvement and judgement.
- It is not an emergency service. If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number right away.
- You are responsible for using the app lawfully and for disclosing monitoring to your child as appropriate. The app is designed to be transparent on the device by default.
4. Subscriptions, billing and refunds
- Some features require a paid subscription. Where you purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play, billing, renewals and cancellations are handled by that store under its terms.
- Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on new annual subscriptions. On Google Play we process eligible refunds directly; on the App Store, Apple handles refund requests.
- Prices are shown in the app. During a product's beta, some plans may be offered free, and we'll give notice before any charges begin.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you put into the Services (your projects, tasks and comments in JinkoUp; your family's data in Jinko). You grant us the limited rights needed to host and operate the Services for you. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't sell it.
6. Our intellectual property
The Services, including our software, design, and trademarks (such as “Jinko”, “JinkoUp” and “Jinko Apps”), belong to Jinko Apps or our licensors. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our branding without permission.
7. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that they will detect or prevent every safety risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jinko Apps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Jinko Apps against claims arising from your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms or the law - including any use of the Jinko app to monitor a device you did not have the right to monitor.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time (see Delete your account & data). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Services in a way that risks harm to others or to the Services.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts located in Québec, Canada, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Services evolve. We'll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
